Wood Console Trim

I just traded my very tired '88 9000T for a '98 9000CSE, both 5 speed
transmissions (The locking hatch of the latter is taking some getting used
to!)

The '98 has a mahogany dash, but no wood trim around the gearshift lever
boot or on the lid of the locking console bin. I saw such trim on other
9000 cars. Did Saab stop installing wood in those places in the last year
of production? Does wood only appear on lids that don't have a lock in
them? Did Saab offer different styles of wood trim (i.e., mahogany, burled
walnut or whatever) such that one cannot simply buy any trim to finish the
job? I would like to finish it; I like wood.

Thanks to anyone who posts answers.
