I have Dunlop SP Sport W10s on my '97 900SET. They are great three-season
tires, but are absolutely horrible in winter conditions. Prior to the
Dunlops, the car was equipped with all-season Pirellis and it handled
beautifully on snow and ice -- as has every other SAAB I've owned. If you
need even the slightest traction in snow, stay away from the W10s.

My 911 is equipped with Dunlop SP Sport A2s, which are, thus far, very
impressive. They are rated 'high-performance, all-season' and seem to give
very good traction in both wet, snowy and dry conditions and are quiet to
boot! I believe they are cheaper than the W10s. Tire Rack's user survey page
rates them at the top of their category.
