I suffered with my 95 900SET clutch since I had the
care. Just a few moths ago I had the clutch replaced
and it made the world of difference. When I was
talking to the mechanic about my old clutch he gave
the following advice. The clutch spring has a
tendency to relax to much causing the heavy feeling.
To fix you need to tug on the clutch cable every so
often:

1) Turn the front wheel all the way to the right

2) Reach through the small opening on the top
portion of the wheel well

3) Feel for a cable it should be just above the
opening and tug

I tug on mine every couple of month and its made a
work of difference.
