We wondered about that last year, as we have a 1994 9000 CSE, and 
they sent us the regular windshield-mount tag.  After some list 
discussion, we concluded that nobody had had problems with it on a 
9000 (though none of the reports were from as late as a 94), so we 
went ahead and installed it.  The green tint should be no 
problem--the concern we had was with the opaque section at the top of 
the windshield (is it conductive so would it interfere with the 
signal from the transponder?).

We mounted the tag behind the mirror, as instructed.  Most of the tag 
but not all is below the opaque part of the windshield.  Works OK.

A note to Ian, we also lost the tow eye cover (the one in front, 
below the right fog lamp).  Dealer was rather discouraging about 
getting a replacement.
