I need an intake?

Yes. You'd need a great big hole in your 900 hood if you wanted to use the
9000 intake manifold.

Connecting the 900 turbo downpipe to the 9000 turbocharger will still be a
challenge.

Right. You'll use your car's original LH wiring, but you should also use a
900 turbo LH2.4 ECU (1989-1993 models). The 1986 9000 LH ECU won't plug into
your car's harness, and it's an LH2.2 unit anyway.

The Hall-Effect ignition system does not have a control box (like that found
in the EZK system on your car). Just the distributor (with vacuum
advance/pressure retard), the coil, and the transistor/amplifier unit.

Note that a blown head gasket is often the result of overheating, and as such
is often accompanied by a warped head. You could use the head from your
2-liter 900 non-turbo motor, with the camshafts from the 9000 turbo motor.

You can't use the 9000 manifolds in your 900. Need real 900-turbo manifolds.

The 9000 turbocharger housing is designed with a flare-type joint for the
downpipe. A 900 has a cast-iron elbow there instead. You'll definitely need
a real 900-turbo downpipe, and will have trouble connecting this to a 9000
turbocharger.

The 9000 wiring is laid out differently than the wiring in your 900, so the
harnesses will not fit without modification. You might be better off hacking
up your 900 wiring, combining it with bits of the 9000 wiring to end up with
something that works. Note that your 900 is set up with a different ignition
system (EZK versus the Hall-Effect in the 9000), different fuel injection
system (LH2.4 versus LH2.2 in the 9000).

Your 900 is also missing the APC (boost control) system. This includes a
solenoid valve (mounted on the 9000 radiator fan shroud), a pressure
transducer and switch (located in/under the 9000 dash, driver's side, along
with the APC ECU), and uses the same knock sensor that is used by your 900
EZK ignition system.

> no problem ? Will it also bolt up to my tranny ?

No problem on the block (minus timing cover and rear end-plate, both of which
must come from the 900). No problem on the head, although the turbo head
might be warped, so you might use the non-turbo head with turbo camshafts.
The cast-iron block is 100% identical so it will bolt up to a 900 tranny just
fine.
