ACC2 Heater Control Crank Arm

Could someone tell me how to access the temperature control crank arm? I
don't yet have the AC section of the factory service repair manual. I've
got a '94 Aero w/ the following symptom. No matter what settings are used
on the ACC2 unit, the vents constantly blow hot air (including when the
system is off and traveling on the highway). I've purchased the $10 temp.
control crank arm repair kit assuming that is the problem, but I can figure
out where the arm is or how to access it. As much detail as possible would
be greatly appreciated.

I believe (from research alone) that I've broken my heater control crank
arm. I've got a '94 9000 Aero. Symptom is that I get heat out of the
vents no matter what. I've had the AC checked and it's fine. There are
two possibilities I suppose. First, it could be the ACC2 unit (I hope
not) and it could be the heater control crank arm. Considering that the
latter has a $10 kit from Saab, I purchased that.

The problem is that I can figure out where the arm is (no repair
manuals). I've got the plastic cover (over the heater core) off and am
attempting to remove the cover on the heater blower. I suspect that the
control crank arm is in the round part (connected to the driver's side
of the rectangular heater core cover). I can't seem to figure out how
to remove this round cover.

First, am I correct about it's location and if so, how do I get to it.
As much detail as possible would be greatly appreciated.
