Wandering Cruise Control

I usually drive I-280 from Guadalupe Parkway to Sand Hill Road in
Silicon Valley (about 22 miles) between 9:30am and 10:00am with
the cruise control in my M87 900. I usually crank-it-up to about
85 then set the speed. It usually falls to between 75-80 before
it 'catches' and stays put until I turn it off just before Sand
Hill Road. But, for the past couple of weeks I've noticed that
by the time I get to HWY 85 I'm down to 70. By the time I get
to Sand Hill Road I'm down to 65. Any idea why? Vacuum leak
maybe?
