I too, received notification of the class action suit. Although I have
85K on my '95 900 SET , I have not damaged any wheels or tires- despite
having the 205/50-16 size. I replaced the OEM Michelins last fall with Nokian
NRVs and am quite happy with this combination. Several years ago I owned a
'91 900 that suffered a bent alloy wheel. It was damaged enough to cause a
slight vibration, but otherwise unnoticeable.
I guess if I were dishonest, I would have entered the class action suit
so that Saab would pay for my new tires. I am not, so I simply threw the
legal notice in the trash. I can't help but wonder if all the aftermarket
wheel manufacturers will suffer the same fate as Saab. After all there are
many more Civics sporting 17' and larger wheels with 35 series tires than
there are Saabs.
