Core Hoses

I've got a 1985 900 8v Turbo. In sunny Malaysia, we don't
need the heater, and so the core has been removed, and the
two passages that lead to inside the cabin plugged.

I need to know how the hoses originally went. When I got the
car - 2nd hand, the hoses went like this :

(a) 1 hose, L shaped, from water reservoir tank to top
outlet/inlet of water pump.

(b) 1 hose, basically U shaped, going from the side bottom
outlet/inlet of the water pump to the centre of the block.
This is the one sort of directed towards the water
reservoir.

(c) 1 hose running from the bottom outlet of the water pump
going to the bottom of the radiator, next to the gearbox.

(d) 1 skinny hose from the top of the radiator (LHS) back to
the water reservoir tank.

(e) 1 big s shaped hose going from the top of the radiator
(RHS) to the block/bleeding nipple.

Hoses (a), (b) blew within two days of each other about 2
months ago. All was well, replaced by local saab shop.

Last night, hose (b) blew again. Upon the advise of my saab
shop, both outlets could be plugged since they originally
went to the heater core and were now useless. So I plugged
them myself, bled the system and all was well, or so I
thought.

Temperature is now fine even when driving hard (less than
half), but the car sems to be knocking now when on boost. I
think this could be due to inefficient cooling of the block
since I can't see how water is currently circulating through
the block. It seems to me the only inlet/outlet to the block
is through the elbow at the top next to the distributor.
Have I missed a hose somewhere ?

How did the hoses originally run ? Whats a safe way to
eliminate the 2 heater core hoses with one ?

Thanks..
