Sunroof

My 1990 900 has the dreaded peeling ceiling, at least on the
underside of the sunroof. The fabric bunches up and wrinkles
when the sunroof is opened.

I assume that the easiest way to fix this requires removing the
sunroof - or is there a way to do it in place? And, assuming
that I do have to remove the sunroof, it looks fairly simple;
does anyone have any advice about how to or how not to do it?

Thanks,
Robert Schrader

PS: And while I'm in there, is it practical/possible to do any
life-extending maintenance on the sunroof motor?
