You will never get that tool in without removing the caliper from the
car. The Saab tool lets you turn in the piston without removing the
caliper.

Nope, won't work. I bought 5 years ago, and had to modify it, and even then
it didn't work. The little nipples that fit into the holes in the caliper
piston aren't the right distance apart. Also, the cube is too big to fit in
between the rotor and the caliper... in order to use it you'd have to pull
off the caliper. It's really worth the money to buy the tool from the
dealer...I think it cost me under $30, and I've used it about 15 times or
so, so it's more than paid for itself.

The problem is fitting it between the piston face and the rotor. It won't.
You can always just pull the piston assembly off the caliper yoke (not an
entirely bad thing to do when changing pads since it lets you clean out and
lubricate the slides, gets y ou to think about renewing the seals and
grease on the parking brake mechanism) but once you to that then a pair of
bent-needle-nose pliers works fine too.
