Electrical

Just been away on holiday for 3 months and came back
to the 1987 9000T with a dead battery, ie. nothing
electrical working.

I was apprehensive about jump starting it, but
instructions were included in the handbook so I
thought it would be ok following Saabs protocol.

The car started fine but electrically things went a
bit wild, the info display was showing a random
collection of information, and the fuel gauge was
moving up and down. I quickly switched the ignition
off. I was hoping for advice on where to go from here,
have transistors and diodes already been fried, or is
just indicative of a dead battery.

Thanks in advance for your combined wisdoms.
Regards
James
