I have used the Pirelli P7000 Summers and am currently running the P7000
Supersports.  The P7000 Summers had great dry & wet traction, better
steering feel, with treadlife in the 25-30k range.  When the tires get down
to the wear bars, they tend to get noisy.

The MXMs were too expensive and they had terrible wet traction.  They did
have long tradwear, but that alone doesn't justify spending $200+/ea on
them.

I tended to get less life on these tires due to misalignments caused by the
worst roads in the country (New Orleans)...that, and running them new at the
track events at the '98 SAAB Owners convention didn't help either...

Anyway, I am trying the P7000 Supersports based on the expected longer wear
(higher treadwear rating).  So far, they seem to be very comparable to the
Summers.  Without much rain in the past few months (we are nearing drought
conditions), I cannot truly attest to their wet traction, but in the rare
times that we DO have rain (yesterday being among them), I can say that they
do have great wet traction too.

I love these tires and highly recommend them!
