I'm glad to hear that you did get good results with your suspesion repairs.
Actually, you got the results I wuld have expected given the age/mileage of
the car, the symptoms, and the fix you applied.

Regarding tires...... I use two sets, one for summer, and the other for
winter.

For the winter I use Michelin Arctic Alpines; it's a true show tire.
Depending upon your driving you could get 2-4 winters out of them. Either
them or the Pilot Alpines would be a good choice.

For the summer (actually anytime except winter) I've used Michelin MXM's for
years, and now I'm using Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, a newer Michelin design.
In every respect I'm finding these to be superior to the MXM's....
particularly regarding wet handling and resistance to hydroplaning. I don't
yet know what sort of mileage I'll get since I've only put 15K miles on them
before removing them for the winter.
