I didn't make the post you are referring to, but I read it. The tool is
called a 'pin spanner' for bicycles. Buy one made by Park Tool Company, a
bicycle tool company from St. Paul, MN. The spanners are about $5-$8 and
should be widely available at all bike shops. If they don't stock it,
you could order it through a shop or online easily. (You cannot order it
direct from Park.)

One problem: I'm not sure what color (size) of the spanner fits. You
want red, green, or yellow (NOT blue). They are slightly bendable, so
it may not matter that much. Check out a sample at
http://www.parktool.com/tools/SPA_1.htm

Alternatively, I own an adjustable spanner (Park SPA-6) but I don't know
if it fits. When I tried to work on my own brakes yesterday, the
U-shaped pin was so rusted I had to abort the job for now. If you figure
out what color fits best, please post.
