Shaft Breakage

I made a mistake on which end of the intermediate/center shaft that keeps
breaking on my 9K Turbo. It's the transaxle end of the shaft that's
breaking. I've ordered a new one from Saab and hopefully it'll last longer
than the other two, used ones. Even though it'll be guaranteed for a year,
I don't want to keep disassembling the passenger side drive-line - it's not
a job for one with no garage or lift, especially with winter approaching!
Still, I'm perplexed as to why this shaft keeps breaking. I can't imagine
the transaxle shaft being out of alignment with the bearing holder at the
motor mount end - both ends are bolted to the engine. Being cast aluminum,
I would think that the bearing holder/mount would crack, and even if it
were 'non-aligned', why is it breaking the shaft at the transaxle end? I
know this engine is putting out a lot of torque, but surely there are other
racing-type 9000's that put out more. Do they have this problem of
breaking these shafts or do they use a beefier one - and where can I get
one if they do?
