Excessive Chassis Twisting

IÊave a problem that I can't explain satisfatorily. Here it is...when I was
examining 1987 900 GL (5 door) on intention of buying I ran onto 'serious'
dillemma. When I raised the car on either of the front jacking spots, the
front doors could be barely opened/closed. Also the vertical gap between the
B post and the door widened significantly. The car shows no major rust nor
collision damage...Êhe car has certainly suffered some degree of frontal
damage because the grille is not right andÊhe bonnet is not from same year -
it has two ventilating grills on top, just like the very early models.Êo
strange ripples under the hood, though.

Sitting on all four wheels, the doors close rather perfectly and the gaps are
uniform. My 1974 99 could not care less if I jack it, so where's the
point?Êhat areÊhe other 'special' things that I should check onÊefore
buying 900?

Thanks in advance for your help
