Sudden Stalls
Posted by Nick Harman - http://saabnet.com/tsn/forms/e.php3? (more from Nick Harman - http://saabnet.com/tsn/forms/e.php3?) on Mon, 5 May 2003 00:00:03

My 1989 CDT 2l has developed a habit of stalling without warning when the
clutch goes down. Owing to the car's quietness in normal operation I don't
always notice this has happened - particularly if I'm not looking at the
dashboard but out the window. This has resulted in some scary moments when I
have found myself suddenly adrift in road junctions with no power. If you
have ever tried driving around London, you would know just how scary this can
be! No mercy is asked or given by the locals.

It seems unrelated to whether the car is cold or hot.

Thanks

Nick
