assumes that the new generation Saab's have a third seat belt. Why
the middle seat? Easy to reach and the safest. Talk to the dealer
about the tether. Depending on what is available to anchor to they
will gladly 'upgrade' this feature. Also try to go to a local car
seat installation awareness/safety drive. It is amazing how tight
they feel the car seat needs to be anchored to the seat (no lateral
motion, tether is good here).

We leave a base in any/all the cars. The seat goes into the crib if
the kid falls asleep in the seat after driving/errands. The seat also
fits into the stroller. Test drive the stroller, some have really bad
steering.

Let me know if you need more info.
