When we bought our used 1999 9-5 with about 45,000 miles on it, some of the
LCD's weren't working...both on the SID and the ACC. Like a fool, I wasn't
too concerned at the time, so didn't have it fixed. They've gotten worse in
the 20,000 miles we've put on the car and it's getting harder to determine
what the message is on the display. This does seem to be a (another?) common
problem. I haven't tried getting any extended warranty on it, as it was hard
enough to get some on the turbo failure at 55,000 miles. Good luck...let us
know if you have success!

I haven't tried the possible cure using foam to inprove the connections, but
may try it soon. Could someone supply the web address for the site of how to
do that? I had it at one time but my computer crapped out and I lost it.
