A shot battery is more like it after having a steady drain on it for 3
months. Step 1 is to attach a battery charger to attempt to bring it
back up to full charge. Disconnect the negative battery lead while
charging. If the voltage seems right after charging, preferrably
overnight on a slow charge, reconnect the negative lead, and try to
start it. If the battery won't come up to snuff (at least 12.6V after
charging) it's time for a new one.
