I have one Saab left still rolling around on 15 inch wheels. Recently I
installed a set of Dunlop SP9000s, 205/55/15.

As I'm sure you are aware, the Bay area weather has been a bit damp of late.
I make the Santa Clara to Santa Cruz commute and the Dunlops have been great
in the wet weather and superb in the dry. I don't think they make good snow
& ice tires.

The lower profile gears the car down a bit and tightens up the transmission
ratios, yielding about a 5% improvement in acceleration.

You might scan the Saabnet Classifieds for a used set of 16 inch Aero
wheels. On occasion thaye can be had with a set of tires for a few dollars
more than a new set of tires alone. Sixteens are noticably better and have a
wider range of tire selections as well.
