Anyway, back to the Aero. What a fantastic car!!
Great handling, and the 5 speed automatic is much
better than the old car. The 250BHP is nothing
to sneeze at either. It is my wife's car, but I am
driving it every chance I get.

This is our 4th Saab.
87 900T->95 900SE 5d->2000 9-5 SE wgn->Aero!

One change in the newer Saabs is the removal of the 10 pin
mobile phone connector behind the radio to connect a car kit
into.

http://www.uhltronics.com makes a great
product for the 9-3

and 9-5 that allows you to install a hands free kit that share
the audio system with OnStar. OnStar audio is given priority.

They recommend you don't share the microphone due to how
much interference the Saab one picks up.

Note: I notice the 2002 seems to have 2 microphones, a new one
in the rear overhead console.

I did the install this weekend and although it did require cutting 3 wires in
the factory harness it was still not too difficult. I just have to install
the antenna and microphone and I'm done.
