I partially restored my 78 99T in 1996.

I had a new long-block assembled, ~$2500
Rebuilt the transmission `$500,
Updated and rebuilt the entire suspension circa 1985 with CV's & brakes
$500,
Updated the interior with leather out of a 1988, ~$400
Redid the head liner. ~$100
I updated the rear hatch and tail lights. `~$250
New tires and wheels ~$1200.
New 3' stainless exhaust ~$250
I did not repaint the car. ~$2000

Total parts ~$7750. I did all the work myself. Seeing someone else
doit ~$priceless.

After it was back together and broken in +130 mph and smooth.Since then I
have put about 60k onit. I love the car. But I am considering selling it
to my little brother.
