The 99 A/C was an add-on unit which fit under the dash panel. It would be
no problem to add the appropriate brackets and an A/C compressor, and a
condensor in front of the radiator. What is difficult is finding a place
for the evaporator...there isn't one in the 99. The add-on unit sold by
Saab simply circulated the interior air, I think, through the under-dash
mounted add-on, where the evaporator was placed.
