Nitto makes a great tire. They aren't well known, but it's a quality
product.

Were I in your shoes (Which I am, as I do the following myself), I'd buy
some nice high-performance tires for the 16' rims, not all season. They
will be stickier, and you'll love the way the car handles with them. Then
I'd put some dedicated snow tires on the 15' rims you took off (this is
assuming you still have them.) Then you get the best of both worlds...
great sticky tires that are good in the rain and dry, but suck in the snow,
and great snows for the winter. I don't know where you live, but this is
the set up I use for all three of my cars.

If you decide to do the above, I'd forget about tires for the 16' right
now, and get dedicated snows put on the 15' rims. Then you don't have to
worry about shelling out money for the more expensive 16' til spring (tax
return?)

I'd go with cheapy snows, since it's a Saab (due to the weight ratios
involved, it's a great car in the snow)... I have cheapys on my 900Ti, and
it's better on the roads than the four wheel drive trucks.

As far as the 16' rims go.... I wouldn't go with the P7000's... $149 each?
Yikes... I'd go with the Yokohamas A520's ($94) before I'd go that route. I
had some Yokohama Avids on my autocrossing Volvo last season, and they were
the best tires I've seen yet.

I've never been a big fan of Pirelli's (few people who have worked in the
tire industry like them, don't ask me why). I'm currently running some
P400's on the Saab for summer tires... they're ok, but definately touring
tires. In the spring I'm replacing them with some Yokohamas.
