'89 900T Questions & Commentary

I just bought my girlfriend an '89 900 Turbo from Roberti Motor Cars (RMC)
in Kingston, NY. So far we are quite blown away by the shape of this car. It
has 96K on it and runs VERY well. However, I have some questions:

1./ I had Roberti copy the laundry list of items they did on the car. If
you are going to buy a used SAAB, consider them first. They practically
replaced the entire car, however, when should I start to expect little
things to start falling apart again? They replaced the tranny, but it is
still hard to put in reverse (even with the 2nd first trick and the
slip-the-clutch trick).

2./ We have intermittent high idle. Somtimes its perfect at about 900-1000
RPM and sometimes at about 1600rpm, especially after highway driving. How
can I fix this?

3./ There is a SQUEEEEL upon each step of the accellerator. Not like a belt
squeel, just a LOUD high pitched noise. Could this be spent A/C Compressor
bearings and if so, how much to replace?

4./ Anybody know any good automotive interior specialists in the DC area?
Her headliner is coming down and the driver's seat needs a sewing job.

So far that's all with the car. It's really in GREAT shape for a SAAB with
those years and since I owned a 900T for 10 years I'm soooo excited that SHE
has one now so I can work on it all over again. Only bummer are those stupid
automatic seat belts. Thanks in advance.
