Re: New Clutch or Not & Double Clutching

When the clutch on my 99 went, the telltale sign was a very noticeable
decrease in off-the-line acceleration: the engine speed would climb (rpm
increase) but the speed wouldn't so much. At the worst, right before
replacing the clutch, pulling out from a red light was almost painful. Took
a while just to get up to 50 (mph, km/h, doesn't matter).

When I bought my 9000 used I assumed an original clutch. I had been
suspecting eventual clutch work but I've since clocked 110k km with no signs
of clutch slippage (still very fast acceleration).

Oh yes, my 99 had that too! Oh the fond memories all of this brings back of
my 99.
