Inner Driver Swap

I am removing an auto gearbox from an 88 base 900 and replacing it with
the engine and 5-speed trans from an 87 900 base. Neither are guaranteed
to be original to the respective cars, but that is irrelevent. I am
suspecting that there may be a conflict with the 88 drive axles to the
5-spd gearbox I am installing. If this is so, how difficult is it to
remove the inner drivers from the AT box and install one of both on the
manual? And how does one tell.... measurements? This is a fairly easy job
with the exception of this little glitch. The 5-spd is still in the donor
and being driven but the AT box is out (and available inexpensively) of
the 88 car.

thanks,

jim
