I have a 87 9000i manual which has one of the two semicircular plugs that
fit into the bottom of the bellhousing missing.  I rang the dealer to see
if I could get  a replacement but have been told that Saab Australia have
never held them and presumably have never needed to replace one and would
have to get one sent out from the Sweden if I wanted one.

I have the parts diagram of the gearbox case and it shows the two plugs.
While the holes in the bellhousing look indentical the two plugs have
different part numbers (93 86 459 and 93 86 467).  The one that I have is
93 86 467 which, according to the diagram, is in the forward most hole but
on my car it is in the other hole.  Does anyone know what the difference in
the two part numbers are?  Has anyone tried to get one, eg from a US or UK
dealer?  Also the one that I have has a small slit in the centre.  Is this
meant to be in it or has somebody tried to pry it off using a screwdriver.

I take it that the plugs are to prevent any oil that gets into the
bellhousing from leaking out.  I have a very small leak that occurs after
the car stops and I guess that this could be the source.
