Thanks for the responses to my q u estion on how to kill the EXH light on
an '85 900T. From one of the answer I got, it appears that the switch
thing does NOT exist on the '85, but does on the '84. I looked at my '85,
and you can see where the cable would have connected to the speedo. There
are no guts in the speedo to drive a cable though, and there is no box.
The light and wiring must be vestigial; left over from the 84 model, or
from the 8 valve.

The non-existent switch was between the +12v and the bulb. This means that
there is a short to hot that is lighting the light. This is worrying, but
I could not trace out the wires, so I took out the bulb.

When I replace the blower motor next time I will trace the wires while the
dash is out.
