Deceleration & Speedometer

My '94 9000 Aero has just started exhibiting a strange behavior. When I
decelerate when approaching a stop and then depress the clutch when making
the stop, the engine will die. It will start right back up and run normally
and idle smoothly. Another weird symptom is that if I press in the clutch
when decelerating and rev the engine and continue to stop without reengaging
the clutch, the engine will idle down normally without dying. I'm suspecting
some sort of vacuum hose or something like that.

Thanks for your help

Mark D. Michael

P.S. My speedometer just stopped working today. Anyone know how hard it is
to change out the speedo cable?
