The standard lights are pretty good to start with, and the Xenon light is a
huge improvement. I routinely engaged the fog lights in construction zones
to light the nearby temporary concrete barriers - with the Xenon, the
roadside barrier is almost blindingly lit. The only negative to the Xenon
is in the USA the lighting regulations prevent the halogen pencil beams
from being used, but it seems from looking at the circuit diagram that a
minor modification can enable them. The details of the Valeo biXenon unit
used in the 9-5 were featured in a NINES story a few issues back.

The backup alarm is mildly entertaining under most circumstances, and it is
a help in parallel parking.
