Sounds to me like you still have a lousy battery. 10-ish volts right after
start is NOT healthy. I would recommend double checking the voltage across
the battery terminals using a DVM (Dig. Volt Meter). If the alternator is
healthy, it should be trying to get the battery closer to 14 V immediately
after starting. Try to make sure this measurement is at 'above idle' (have
someone help, or prop the throttle plate open a bit). My old Saab use to be
lazy until you touched the accelerator...once above an idle, it seemed OK.

A 12V lead-acid battery should be 2.2V per cell. This x 6 gives you 13.2V.
And it's not uncommon to see charging/running voltages of closer to 14V at
the battery. Another check is to leave the engine off, turn on some the
headlights, and measure at the battery. This should be something closer to
12V. Sounds like you have a shorted cell in your battery.

This 'lower than normal' voltage may be the reason the idiot lights are not
working, and most definitely the problem with loss of memory on your radio.

If the battery seems OK, then start checking all the connections from the
battery towards the fuse box, and so on.
