Re: Rattling Dash

Unfortunately it seems that no one knows what might cause the dash of a '97
900S to rattle. So can anyone tell me how to remove the hard plastic cover
the extends between the windshield and the cushioned plastic of the dash?
The dashboard speaker grilles are at either end of this hard plastic cover.

I have a feeling that I might be able to find the culprit under this cover.
I can see that there is some soft foam insulation under its border with the
windshield and I wonder if this has shifted so that the plastic vibrates
against the lower windshield. I can see the heads of what look to be
plastic clips when I remove the speaker grilles. Do these need to be
removed to release this hard plastic cover?

Thanks for your help.

Richard
