To be fair, weren't the manufacturers given some choices of methods for
passive restraint? I don't think they *had* to choose passive belts. They
probably chose passive belts to buy time while they designed in airbags,
which is a good reason, but it's still a choice.

Everyone's mentioning the scarcity of 2-door C900 models. Do you mean
2-doors as opposed to 3-door hatchbacks? If you include hatchbacks, I've
seen plenty of 2-doors.

Finally, I may have missed something, but wasn't the original issue a search
for a C900 with both a turbo and a leather interior? If so, wouldn't it be
easier to swap a leather interior into a turbo car than to swap a turbo into
an NA car with leather?
