Alternator

I am having a very difficult time of it replacing the alternator on my 87
900S. Is there a trick to getting these off? I have tried at various times
over the years in junkyards to get one off just so I could possibly take home
a spare and so I would know how to do it when the time came. They are all
virtually impossible to remove! Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Tracy Hill
