So you noticed that your car runs well on premium gas and bad on regular?
Why donīt you just stick to premium? Even if you might get your Saab to
work all right with the regular, it will consume a little more fuel, and
some people say it will lose power noticeable. I wonder if fuel is really
that expensive in the US... For comparison: I use 95 octane fuel on my
900i, which costs about 1$ per liter here in Germany (2,06 DM), because
thereīs no 93 to be had anywhere. (just 91, 95 and 98). When I took a trip
to the Czech Republic last year where they still sell leaded fuel, I could
swear the engine ran smoother somehow. I recently read about a new fuel
type from ARAL, which, besides having 99 octane, has the ability to remove
the 'dirt' from valves etc. So I think using the right fuel matters,
really.
