Both my 83 4dr and 87 2dr have the same affliction and appear to leak
around the tailights. I haven't yet removed them from either car to reseal
and confirm if this is the only source of the water.

my 83 had this on it when I got it. It appeared to have leaked at some
point given that the trunk lid was quite rusted along the lower edge. I
changed the lid and didn't reuse the spoiler.
