Interior Light

I am trying to figure out where to start looking to fix a vexing problem 
I'm having with my '85 900S.

I haven't figured out the exact sequence of events, but now very often I 
find that when I close the doors the interior light stays on indefinitely.

I can hear a set of relays clicking around, but can't tell how many nor 
where.

When I am taking off and this happens, all I need to do is bump the 
switch up behind the front driver's door and the light pops off immediately.

I know I could just disable the 'light on when door open' function, but 
I'd rather try to strive for a true fix.
