I don't believe Bosch was ever the OEM supplier of oil filters to SAAB.

Nowadays, the filter that comes in the blue box with 'SAAB' written on it is
manufactured by AC Delco. It is 100% identical to A UK-made PF53. UK-made
PF53's used to be sold at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, AutoZone, and many other retail
stores, but for the last year or so they have all been replaced by a US-made
version.

You should be perfectly OK with a PF53 from your nearest auto parts store.
$2-$3 each.

If you want to stick with OEM, get them from a SAAB dealer, or get them here
for about $4 each:

Various filter testing studies confirm that the high-performance version of
the PF53 (called Delco Gold UPF53) is one of the best performing oil filters
currently on the market. Unfortunately, AC has discontinued it. It is on
closeout at http://www.gmpartsdirect.com
for $4.10 each, part number

25322837. Sold in six-packs.

When those run out, the next best-tested filter out there is reportedly the
Purolator Pure-One (part number PL10241). Should be available at your local
Parts-America/Advance-Auto store for $5.99.

German car parts dealers will have Mann filters for SAABs (W712/38), costing
between $4 and $5 each. These are also very good.

Finally, here's a useful article:
