Thanks for the reply Gene. As it turns out, only one regulator had torn
bushings. The other three were fine; the looseness must be something
else. I thought after doing a similar fix to what you've done; putting
a stud through a rubber donut. This will limit the motor to move along
the direction of the stud only and won't be able to twist. Though your
fix has proved reliable in your case. Regardless, I got a few
replacement bushings and a inner door panel for $20 at the local junk yard.
