John, I'm with you on this issue of wanting a shop manual for my car. I
think it is a crying shame that SAAB does not have Shop Manuals available
on their late models at a reasonable cost. I personally think it is a
major failure of the SAAB organization and have expressed that to any many
people as I can but who cares? I've owned SAAAB continually for 42 years
and up until my '96 900S came to live with me have always purchased and
still own the shop manuals for the cars. For the '96 900S, I understand
that the manual comes in approximately 30 volumes for $25 to $40 for each
volume. If SAAB really cared for their customers, wouldn't they understand
the customers' need for these manuals, and make usable and informative
versions available at reasonable cost? I love SAABs but sometimes I don't
like what the company does.
Regards and happy motoring,
Stan
at present: 1996 900S running and happy
