I just did this fix to my 1992 9000. First purchase 3 of the bulbs need for
the EDU. These are small bulbs that you can get at the dealer or other
supplier. This is not an easy operation, so you might as well replace
all the bulbs at the same time.

You have to remove the dash cover. This is done by removing the speaker
covers and remove the screws under there. Then there is a screw in the glove
box and one just under the dash lip in front of the instrument panel. then
you have to remove the bolts holding the cable that runs across the dash.
You really need a set of Torx sockets to do this.

The you have to undo the small screws at the back of the instrument panel.
Before you pull up on the instrument panel, check to make sure the small
rubber boots at the bottom of the panel are attached - they are a b*tch to
find if they fall off and go into the dash. (Ask me how I know).

Then, here is the tricky part, you have to unplug several of the connectors
on the back of the instrument panel to get it to raise enough that you can
get your hand under the panel to get to the bulb holder.

Then remove each bulb and replace. Then reassemble the whole thing back
again. It took me several hours, because I didn't know how everything was
attached and because I lost one of the rubber feet (probably took an hour to
just find it).
