Bob:

You've mentioned three factors in your e-mail:
1. New York City
2. 160K miles
3. 'Bouncing on turns
4. Original front struts
These all suggest that you may need some work on the fron end and should have
a Saab person with suspension experience look art the car.

Wear items that can effect the handling include the following:
Struts (and rear shocks while you're at it)
Sway bar bushings (2 different sets involved here; one at the end where a
special linkage connects them to the A-frame, and a second that holds it to
the sub-frame)
Tie-rod ends
ball joints
bearing plates
Steering rack

The clicking may not be resolved by attention to any of the above. If the
clicking is rhythmic, the CV joints may be suspect. On the other hand, if
the clicking only occurs when you turn the steering wheel, the the universals
in the steering shaft may be suspect.

Good luck Bob
