>How does the rack tighten up to stay on?
Basically, the whole rack is a giant bolt, with a rectangular-headed
twister at one end of the bar that you hand-turn to bring the ends together
into the sockets. You'll need a crescent wrench to get it tight enough.

>Does it lock separately or use the locking of the doors to do so?
When the doors are locked, the rack cannot be removed, so no locks are
necessary.

It's a Thule-profile bar, but I've never seen it in their catalog. Feet
can't be separated for the above reason. All Thule gadgets will fit.

This is a great bar, far simpler and half the cost of the usual Thule or
Yakima rack setup. IIRC, the load limit is about 150 lbs, which is plenty
for my kayak, no matter how heavily laden. The only negative, which is the
fault of the design of the car, is that front and rear bars are less than 3
feet apart, so you need to secure the front and rear of long loads.
