The '88 - '93 Turbo Brakes are the same as on 9K models till '90 or
'91 (I am not sure since I never had a 9000). What improvement do
you expect?
One could install the front brake callipers of the later post'91 9000
models with monir changes to the callipers. I know someone who
did this, but I doubt that ther will be a significant change. Further I
would only mess with the brake system if I had a car with ABS
('anti lock system' as the rest of the world probably would say),
since otherwise by changing only the front setup you would not get
optimum performance.
By the way, how do the people installing the APRacing brake kit
solve this problem. With some kind of 'linear pressure regulator'?
