Re: Heater Core

I believe Saab is now selling a 'real' heater core as a replacement for the
original 9000 heater cores...that is, they are selling an aii-metal core
instead of the one with aluminum core and crimped on plastic header tanks.
Cost is higher that original type tho, but I don't know by how much. Check
with independent Saab service/parts shops for better price than from Saab
dealer on either this new type (if availiable after market) or original
style. I know original style after market cores are availiable, as I had
one installed on my 91 9000 by Gibson Motors in Perrysville,IN
(765-793-3512, a Saab dealer) at substantially less than a 'genuine' Saab
part. Repacement is difficult I understand and is harder on models before
1990 or 91.

neat!)
