Repeated Wheel Bearing Failure

I searched the archives and found many posts on wheel bearings, but not one
that deals with this problem: We haver replaced the right front wheel
bearings on our '90 SPG (135,000 miles) FOUR times in the past year. We
have tried 3 different sources for the bearings. The last one lasted three
weeks. The work was done by an independent shop that has been reliable in
the past. We went to the Saab dealer to see if they might be able to
determine the cause, but they had no clue. Does anyone know what could
cause repeated wheel bearing failures, other than defective bearings?
There is no obvious damage to the wheel assembly.
