Hatch Not Staying Open

Two ways - the old broom stick OR new struts. For some reason they seem to
go RIGHT NOW. It happened on Lansen - one day the hatch stayed up, the next
I got a good crack on the head - so I replaced the struts.

What I don't know is if both failed at once, one was bad and the other good
until IT failed or if one failed and the hatch is too heavy to be supported
by just one.
